Usage, costs and limits

Know what each agent costs, how close you are to a limit, and let AyCode wait for you when a limit is hit.

The usage view

Verbrauch: spending, tokens, provider limits and your own budgets.
  • ⌘U opens it. Choose today, 7 days, 30 days or the month.
  • Costs in euros or as API value, per day and in total; how much came from the cache; the peak day.
  • Side calls (commit messages, goal checks, side questions, quick questions) are counted separately.
  • The limits of Claude, Codex, Cline, Hermes, Grok, Z.ai and OpenCode with their 5-hour, weekly and monthly windows.
  • A dot next to Verbrauch in the sidebar warns you from 80 % of a limit on.

Budgets and subscriptions

Under Settings → Usage you set a daily and a monthly budget, a token limit and the exchange rate. Enter what your subscriptions cost per month and AyCode shows what they are worth; it never guesses prices you did not enter.

The projects view shows cost and tokens of the last seven days per project.

The limit guard

When the limit guard is on (Settings → General → Limits, off by default) and a provider hits its limit, the chat waits and continues by itself once the limit is free again. The banner says when and why, with Jetzt versuchen (try now), Nicht mehr warten (stop waiting) and Mit <provider> weitermachen, which moves the chat with its history to another provider.

With several accounts per provider, Bei Limit Konto wechseln switches to the next account instead of waiting.
