Providers, models and permissions

AyCode talks to the agent apps you already use. Pick a provider and model per chat, and decide how much an agent may do without asking.

Under Settings → Providers each provider shows its state (ready, limit reached, sign-in missing, app missing …) with buttons to install, sign in, test and update. Anmeldungen (accounts) lets you keep several accounts per app, for example private and work, and pick one per chat.

Settings → Providers: AyCode can set the agent apps up for you, after you agree.

Picking a model

The model picker groups models by provider. The star marks favourites.
  • Click the model name in the input field. Type to search across all providers.
  • Neue Modelle suchen (find new models) asks the apps for their current lists. New models show up without an AyCode update.
  • Where an app accepts any model ID, just type it in.
  • Next to the model: the effort (how long it thinks) and, for Claude and Codex, the speed.
  • ⇧-click more models on the start screen to send one prompt to up to four at once (see More than one model).

Permissions and approvals

Three modes decide how freely an agent may act. Set the default under Settings → General, or switch per chat with the chip in the input field.

ModeWhat it means
NormalReading runs freely. Before commands and file changes the agent asks.
Planen (Plan)The agent first writes a plan and changes nothing until you approve it.
YOLONo questions. Use it for throw-away folders and worktrees.
An approval card: allow once, always for this command in this project, or decline. Keys 1, 2 and 3 work too.

Open approvals survive a reload of the window and also show up on your phone and in the Island at the notch.
