Your notes become the memory of every agent

AyCode reads your Obsidian vault in the background and hands each message the notes that fit, their neighbours in the graph and what you asked it to remember. What you decided last month is still known today, whichever agent answers.

Second brain: AyCode

Context without copy and paste

Coding agents forget everything between sessions. AyCode fixes that with the notes you already keep: architecture decisions, customer details, meeting notes, how-tos. Each message automatically gets the notes that match, and you see which ones they were.

  • Attach notes on purpose with @, or search by type, for example @customer:.
  • The Brain switch turns the automatic notes off for one message; short replies like “OK” get none anyway.
  • Agents reach your vault through the built-in MCP server aycode-brain, so they can search it on their own.

See how your knowledge connects

The graph (⌘G) shows your vault as a living map: folders become coloured regions, links become lines. Filter by time or tag, find notes without any link, and light up the shortest path between two notes. The Brain panel next to a chat shows the neighbourhood of what the chat is about.

Writing back, never behind your back

Save an answer as a note with one click. When an agent wants to change a note, it arrives as a card you apply or discard; AyCode never overwrites a note without asking. A comment on a line of code can be kept in the vault too, so the next agent learns from your review.

Questions and answers

Do I need Obsidian?

No. AyCode works with any folder of Markdown notes, and without one at all. Obsidian vaults it finds on your computer are offered with one click.

Do my notes leave my computer?

The index stays on your computer. Only the notes that go into a message reach the provider you chose for that chat, and the Brain switch lets you send none.

Which agents can use the second brain?

All of them. The notes are added by AyCode itself, so Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Grok and every other agent get the same memory.

Try it on your own projects.

Free for macOS and Windows. Uses the agents and subscriptions you already have.
